Everything before your first project

How we work with interior designers and architects, what to send us, how long it takes and what you get. If your question isn’t here, ask us directly.

01

Getting started

Who do you work with?

Mostly interior designers, plus architects, contractors, manufacturers and homeowners across the US. Our studio is built for designers who design but don’t want to spend their time rendering.

What do you need from me to start?

Send us whatever you already have. The more of this you share, the faster and more accurate the first draft will be:

  • Project brief: what you are designing, your goals and what your client needs to see.
  • Plans: floor plans, elevations or sketches with dimensions. CAD files are ideal.
  • References: moodboards, photos, materials and color palette.
  • Photos of the space: the existing room or site and its surroundings.
  • Furniture and finishes: the exact pieces and materials, as images, vendor links or specs.
  • Your deadline: the date of your client presentation or any key milestone.
  • Your budget: so we can recommend the right number of views and services.

Send your brief

Do I need finished plans?

No. We have started projects from a notebook sketch, a moodboard and a video of the empty space. Send what you have and we’ll tell you if anything else is needed.

02

Process and timing

What does the process look like?
  1. Call: we talk about the scope, your goals and your deadline.
  2. Proposal: you get a quote and a timeline within 24 hours.
  3. Brief: you send plans, references and specifications.
  4. 3D model: we build the space to scale, with materials and textures.
  5. First draft: we share the first renders for your feedback.
  6. Refine: we adjust materials, lighting and styling with your comments.
  7. Final delivery: high-resolution renders, ready to present to your client.
How fast will I get a quote?

Within 24 hours of receiving your brief.

How long does an interior render take?

It depends on the size of the space and the level of detail. As a guide:

  • Simple interior: 4–5 business days.
  • Standard interior: 5–7 business days.
  • Complex interior: 7–9 business days.
How long does an exterior render take?

Exteriors include the building, the site and its surroundings, so they take a little longer:

  • Simple exterior: 7–9 business days.
  • Standard exterior: 9–11 business days.
  • Complex exterior: 11–13 business days.
What can change the timeline?
  • Revisions: several rounds of changes add time.
  • Complexity: larger spaces and intricate designs take longer.
  • Detail: custom furniture, millwork and detailed textures add modeling time.

Tell us your presentation date from the start and we’ll plan the project around it.

Can I make changes after the project has started?

Yes. Reviewing and refining is part of every project.

  • Small changes usually fit within the original timeline.
  • Major changes to the design may extend the timeline and the cost. We’ll always tell you before we start them.

Clear, grouped feedback helps us apply changes faster.

03

Pricing and payment

How is the cost of a project calculated?

Every project is quoted individually, based on:

  • Scope: the number of rooms or views and the size of the project.
  • Detail: the level of detail and custom pieces to model.
  • Timeline: rush deadlines may add cost.
  • Revisions: the rounds of changes included in the project.

After the call or your brief, you get a detailed quote within 24 hours.

How do I pay?

We invoice per project. You can pay by card through Stripe or by Zelle.

04

Files and deliverables

Which files can I send you?

CAD files are ideal, but we also work from PDF, Revit and SketchUp files, images, vendor links and hand sketches. If you use another program, ask us.

In which formats do you deliver?
  • Renders: high-resolution JPEG, PNG or TIFF.
  • 3D models (on request): FBX, OBJ or SKP.
  • Animations and walkthroughs: MP4 or AVI video.
  • 360° views: a link your client can open on any device.
What can you deliver?

High-quality renders, 3D models, 360° views, animated walkthroughs, virtual reality, 3D floor plans, isometric views and 2D CAD drawings such as floor plans, elevations, wallpaper, millwork and flooring plans. See all services.

Can you model custom furniture and millwork?

Yes. We model custom pieces, moldings and millwork from your drawings or your carpenter’s, so the renders show exactly what will be built.

05

Using the renders

Can I use the renders for marketing?

Yes. You can use them on:

  • Your website and social media.
  • Client and investor presentations.
  • Brochures, catalogs and other printed materials.

Tell us where you’ll use them so we deliver the right sizes and formats.

Do you work with designers outside your city?

Yes. We work with designers and architects across the US. Everything happens online: calls, files and reviews.

Can you work as part of my team on every project?

Yes. Most of our work comes from designers who come back project after project. One design studio has worked with us on more than 29 projects.
